Kids' bike frames come in various sizes to accommodate different heights and proportions. Common frame sizes include:

  • 13.5-inch (35cm) frames: Suitable for children with a height of approximately 125-140 cm (49-55 inches).
  • 15-inch frames (38 cm) : Suitable for children with a height of approximately 140-155 cm (55-61 inches).

Companies manufacturing racebikes for kids – like HUPcc – might use more sizes (the size is the length of the seat tube)

  • 37 cm Recommended height 125 cm+
  • 44 cm Recommended height 138 cm+
  • 48 cm Recommended height 145 cm+

(and at HUPcc-s even the smallest, the 37 cm one is coming with a 700cc, adult size wheel)

Other frame sizes may also be available, depending on the manufacturer. Frame Geometry Parameters When choosing a bike frame, it's essential to consider various frame geometry parameters, such as:

  • Stack: The vertical distance between the bottom bracket (center of the crankset) and the top of the head tube (where the handlebars attach). A taller stack provides a more upright riding position.
  • Reach: The horizontal distance between the bottom bracket and the top of the head tube. Longer reach provides a more stretched-out riding position.
  • Other important frame geometry parameters include the head tube angle, seat tube angle, and chainstay length. Each of these affects the bike's handling characteristics and overall comfort.
