This method involves physically rotating the handlebar in the direction of the turn and is typically used for slower, tighter corners. It’s a straightforward approach that allows for controlled maneuvers in technical sections or confined spaces. Technique: Body Position:

  • Keep your body centered over the bike, with slightly bent elbows and knees to absorb any small shocks.
  • Maintain a relaxed grip on the handlebars for fluid control.

Handlebar Movement:

  • Turn the handlebars in the direction of the corner while keeping your upper body stable.
  • The sharper the turn, the more the handlebar needs to be rotated.

Pedals and Weight Distribution:

  • Keep the outside pedal down and apply pressure to it to stabilize the bike.
  • Shift your weight slightly to the outside to prevent the bike from tipping over.

Eyes and Focus:

  • Look through the turn toward your exit point, guiding your body and bike naturally toward the intended direction.

Use Case: This technique excels in low-speed technical sections, such as tight switchbacks, narrow trails, or sharp urban corners. It prioritizes control and precision over speed.
